I have encountered a national project that may interest you as a TPD and benefit us as trainees.
The Reducing Trainee Commutes Initiative (RTC-I) is being nationally distributed after achieving local success in reducing trainee commuting distance and time. As well as recently commissioning bespoke algorithmic software for TPDs to facilitate hospital allocations.
There are two main objectives:

Improve the well-being of trainees by encouraging the routine preferencing of subsequent hospitals (after training needs are taken into account).

Provide TPDs with simple algorithmic software tool for easier preference collection and presentation, providing a platform to manage trainee data and give suggestions for your final allocations.
